i have conflicting reports that ian mackaye of fugazi fame has died. i've heard he died last night while at a show in new jersey, being struck by a car. i've also heard he died in a baltimore hospital. someone has even updated his death on wikipedia (the ultimate source of information, right?). is this real, or is there some bored kid in his parent's basement fucking with everyone?

I literally just called Dischord Records and asked them.
100% NOT true.
The mention on wikipedia mentions that it was at a Fugazi show in Jersey (a band that's been on Hiatus since early 2000s, Fugazi doing a show now would've gotten so much press anyway), and that MacKaye died in a hospital in Baltimore (140 miles away).
Exactly none of this makes any sense whatsover, and is nothing but bored messageboard trolls being retarded and editing wikipedia.
